I went to Wahoo's for the second time this week. The food was great, the vibes were immaculate, and our server, Tara, was amazing! She had a great, positive attitude. She was super attentive and handled any little issues we had with grace, humor and a smile. We will be back, and will definitely be requesting to be seated in Tara's section!

The menu is varied enough to meet any appetite and taste. The green tomatoes will feed four as an appetizer and is delicious. The shrimp is brought up from the Gulf and is so fresh. Try something with Ponchetrain sauce. You may also order shrimp by the pound on Monday for Thursday pick up. It's headless and deveined for $10 a pound.

My family and I tried Wahoo's for the first time yesterday. This is easily out new favorite restaurant in Kerrville. We started with the crab fingers which came on a bed of rice pilaf. I thought our child was going to fight us for this appetizer. It was delicious. Our child ordered the shrimp boil for her main course and let me just say this child does not like to get her hands dirty. By the time she finished her meal, she had the sauce all over her hands and she did not care! My husband ordered the blackened red fish with ponchartrain sauce. He said it was easily the best red fish he's had. I had the NY strip with ponchartrain sauce. I typically do not believe a good steak should have any type of sauce on it; however, I wanted to try a sauce so I went for it. I can honestly say that the steak would have been perfect without the sauce, but the sauce was not covering up anything. The meal was just delicious. Next time we are going to share a plate so we can try a dessert.

Super yummy and clean! I was lucky enough to get a walk through the kitchen! Super friendly staff! Private dining room separate from Main dining room! Separate sitting area with beautiful couches and such a warm and wholesome atmosphere! Also the volume level is wonderful! It's a good place to sit down with family and friends and have a good voice level conversation! I notice a lot of places that are really really good and up being places that you have to raise your voice at or talk over people at! There is a bar inside as well! Everything is very calm inside ! Ask for Christopher!

Lovely new venue. Last location was cozy, this new one is exquisite. Beautiful bar, furniture, wait staff, ect. My party all enjoyed their meals, food came out timely and fresh. Swordfish was spectacular paired with a glass of wine. Cocktails were off the charts. All around excellent experience. My only issue was the manager on duty. I don’t recognize him as the owner, but maybe a fill-in manager. He seemed angry with his staff. Could hear him raising his voice from side of the kitchen, enough for half of dining room to overhear. Maybe it was just a bad day. Other than that, amazing. Will try to come back when he is not around.

Hidden gem that did not disappoint!!! Oyster Rockafeller was just as good as Dragoos and was spot on. The gumbo was hearty and delicious and the Red fish poncho train was phenomenal. Great atmosphere and the bar service was excellent. Steve was our bartender and one heck of good guy to keep conversation going and the food knowledge and service Steve gave did an awesome job. This place is definitely on my go to list. Who would think you could get this fresh of seafood in Kerrville, but we did.

Beautiful new location along the river - the place looks great! I personally found my food (red fish ponchartrain) way too rich - couldn't eat it! But my companions really enjoyed their food. Service could have been better - our waiter was not very attentive. All in all, it was a good experience. I'll just choose something else next time I go.

Five of us celebrated a birthday there today. We ordered five different meals and all of them were excellent. The soup, gumbo, grilled shrimp, fried catfish and fried oysters were all great. Christopher was our waiter and he was excellent too. Kudos to Wahoos! Thank you for a pleasant dining experience. See you again soon!
